Inman Aligner

The Inman Aligner is an innovative teeth straightening method that works by combining the forces generated by the components of an aligner to push and pull the teeth in the desired direction. The aligner itself is made up of a coiled spring and a fine metal bar, with the spring fixed to the back of the teeth and the metal bar running along the front of the teeth. The Inman Aligner is one of our most popular teeth straightening treatments here at Liverpool Braces Clinic.

Who can benefit from this treatment?

The Inman aligner is most effective for those with problems relating to the front teeth. It can be used to treat patients with under or over bite, crooked teeth and mild spacing between the teeth. The Inman Aligner is not suitable for more severe orthodontic problems; one of our resident dentists will be happy to discuss alternative treatments with you if you are not a suitable candidate for the Inman Aligner.

This is terrific example of a fairly new adult orthodontic technique in this country called the Inman Aligner. It only took 16 weeks to get a result like this! Extraordinary She could not believe it.

What are the advantages?

The Inman Aligner has many benefits, one of which is its speedy process. Most patients begin to notice a difference in a matter of weeks and treatment is usually complete within 16 weeks. The Aligner is discreet and will not be clearly visible to other people. The removability of the device is a bonus for many patients as it allows for greater flexibility when eating and cleaning your teeth. This treatment is also considerably cheaper than many other types of teeth straightening treatment.

Is the Inman Aligner painful?

The device has been designed to be as comfortable as possible. At first it may take a little getting used to but this is the same with any orthodontic device. If you experience any pain this should quickly subside with over the counter pain relief medication.

Will my speech be affected?

Wearing the Inman Aligner should have no real effect on your speech. Initially, as you get used to wearing the aligner your speech may be altered very slightly but it will soon return to normal.
